Little known fact...
Back in the heydey of New City Cafe (in the original location on the corner) there was a radio program called New City Sessions that aired every Sunday afternoon on a small radio station in Kingston (WKTS). I know... random. Kenny Woodhull approached me one day about the possibility of putting together a radio program and he said that there was a station in Kingston interested... the hope was to get it established on that station and then once we figured out what we were doing we would move the program to a Knoxville area radio station.
We never made it to Knoxville radio but we did put together 13 episodes of New City Sessions and I've been listening back to them this past week... they're a lot of fun and fans of New City Cafe should REALLY enjoy listening to these. There are lots of live recordings from concerts at the Cafe and also lots of great artists who were in some way affiliated with New City.
I'm in the process of archiving these episodes... I don't have all 13 but I do have a lot of them and I'll be posting them all to my blog in the next several weeks for your listening enjoyment.
We'll start off with Episode 1. I'm not sure of the exact date but I'm wanting to say that this aired sometime in the Spring of 2001. New City Sessions was pre-recorded in my old office at Lighthouse Christian Church here in Powell.
